I have several chipped stones, didn't realise how rare it was.

    So what's the verdict Tibby?

  9. lol as soon as I saw that mod I came on here to post this same thread.

    Whatever happnened to it?

  10. Bumping this again because spending 30 minutes and only finding one chipped stone is just unnecessary at this point.

PZ added an option to only search for materials in the new update
makes finding chipped stones alot easier, fixes this problem

  12. As soon as I bumped the thread I've found 5 in the last 10 minutes -_-

Earlier today I was having no luck with foraging at all, not even finding stones but it seems to be working better now. Idk what, if anything, "fixed" it.

Even if they're easier to find, I'd still say it'd be a good mod to add, just for the sake of realism and roleplay.

    "What are you doing?"

"Making.. an axe.." they grumble, meticulously chiseling away at the stubborn rock.

Foraging involves a lot of rng so it can be either very rewarding and very frustrating - especially if the game time is winter

  15. Yeah, plus it's realistic and something small. Would maybe promote people building more/expanding instead of just chilling at BT?

Actually, making an axe from stone - if we stick to the previous example would require a large amount of time to chill in BT, or whatever camp a character is living at, probably hours if you want to stick with realism, especially if your character is not skilled with carving stone - approximately 4-5 hours just to make the head, with an additional 1-2 to attach it to a shaft so yeah, serious chill time.

I still do like the idea of it, however - stones should have more uses than they currently have.

I like to turn them into throwing rocks and hurl them at zombies. Haven't hit one yet.

  18. Okay maybe it doesn't have to be too realistic :weary:
